Now, what flavour do you want for your mooncakes?
Our boss bought a box of mooncakes for us and it's kinda like mini mooncakes.
Wow, just look at the flavours that there is in 1 box of mooncakes!
Mooncake lovers, do you fancy flavours like this? :-)

Singapore Idol
I caught a movie at Cathay last week and saw that the entrance is 'tagged' with Singapore Idol.
I just realise there's going to be a Meet the Top 24 Up Close and Personal here at The Cathay this Saturday at 2pm.
I am not a Singapore Idol fan. ;-p
But sometimes we do 'entertain' ourselves with the good and bad singing on TV.
By the way, do you know you can watch Singapore Idol on Mobtv for free?
Click here to view it. But it says available in Singapore and for users with a Singapore NRIC. I wonder those overseas will be able to view it. Hmm...

Shaking hands with a crab
Few nights ago, Momo, Sis and I had dinner with few food blogger friends.
We ate many things but one of the funny shots we took was this. The crab's claw is so big, we can actually pretend to 'shake hands' with it. LOL
If you are going to ask, YES it was delicious!

sentosa
I saw the monorail that's links mainland Singapore to the resort island. I realised I have not taken it before!
I should take some time off work and be a local tourist! I have not been to the Bird Park, Zoo, etc since I was a little kid!
Do you all visit the touristy places in your own city?

wheelock place
Discovered last week or so that the crossing to ION / Orchard MRT Station from the road from Wheelock Place is now closed. (ya, i am a bit slow)
The cross the road, you have to go underground now. Which is via basement 2 of Wheelock Place.
What caught my eye is that this poster about 100 chocolate flavours by a chocolate shop. Yummm... But I did not go in. Resisted temptation. LOL...

Kite Flying Festival
I was at VivoCity (a shopping mall in Singapore) and I saw this poster.
Kite Flying Days.
I zoomed in so that you can read what's on the poster.
It's interesting right? Kite Masters from Japan will be here too.
What made me smile was the sentence that said it's a rain or shine event.
Ain't it dangerous to fly a kite in the rain? Won't the lighting strike the kite and you get roasted?
Saw lots of kids, (err, actually it's more like parents) making tiny kites.
Have you all made kites when you were young? I did. But they did not fly too high. hehe....

Flower Tree @ VivoCity
I last posted this in 2006. One thing about nice about this tree is that it is still flowering!
But the tree seems to have been moved to a different location. :-)
It's called Flower Tree and it's 6 metre talls and it's an artwork by Korean Artist Choi Jeong-Hwa.

tangs / marriott hotel @ orchard rd
From where I stood yesterday to take the ION photo, I turned to the side.
Ah... something that has been around for a long time.
It still looks good though.
Maybe just that occupancy for hotels is low now, not many lights are on.

It's the season of free milo again
It's the time of the year. Uni starts and there's bazaar almost everywhere.
With the bazaar around, there's always the Free Milo Truck.
On such a hot sunny day, a cup of ice cold milo brings smiles to everyone's face.
(Oh, the milo cups are getting smaller by the year!)

University Term Starts
For students who are studying at NUS, the school term starts today.
Which also means, for those working in NUS, NUH, Science Parks, it's too crowded to get lunch in NUS as the students are back. haha...
This photo was taken around last week where students were on an orientation session.

Orchard Road MRT Entrance
The alien shell like thing looks nice eh?
Humans are all attracted to it and are going into it. Why?
Aliens have made the call and all these humans have been hypnotized and marching into the alien spaceship. LOL
It's the entrance to the Orchard MRT Station.
I think it looks very nice ;-)

Piling around the traffic lights.
The Circle Line is being constructed and roads have to be diverted.
Despite all the work around it, the traffic lights pole stands tall and proud.
It still has the power to stop vehicles.
If you have cable TV at home, you should tune in tonight to Discovery Channel at 10 pm. It's showing a series call "Underground Singapore". It's about the Circle Line which the mess on this photo is about.
When completed it will be the world's longest driverless railway system. (33.3 kms)
The schedule on Discovery's website says it will repeat the same show tomorrow at 1 pm and 9 August on 6 pm.
(if you are wondering, it's not sponsored post. :-) I like watching Discovery Channel, and also Asian Food Channel. hehe)

Bukit Timah Cultural Festival
Passed by the 'really noisy' or you can say 'extreme excited atmosphere' at the Bukit Timah Community Club. They were having their Cultural Festival Finale.
It looks fun. It sounds fun too.

Wondering how it is to be in a cruise. Heard that people just eat non stop on a cruise. Is it true?
I have never been on a cruise. Have u?
Today's the 1st of the month again. The City Daily Photo blogger's Theme for this month is "Night". The above is my contribution. Hey, there's even a 'star' in the night.
